Colored Personalities and Feelings
I have read posts by a lot of people who have colors for personalities and feelings... I always knew I had that too so I wanted to ask who here shares that with me :)

Do you sometimes feel orange or on certain days life is much greener than on others? I just wanted to know how other people experience that :)
To me different people have different colors about them... not only one but shades and depending on how I feel that day and how these people feel to me... it changes how life feels all in all that day ... any of you have the same? :)
Of course the things I do change my feelings and colors about life,... like watching a certain series or listening to a song or going certain places ... for example... these 2 weeks where I *incredibly geeky* watched ALL the seasons of friends... I remenber very warm colored and orange... the whole mood lasted for some time afterwards... a whole orange time XD
Now again my life has been very light-green-white-blue lately...
Do any of you also experience moods or certain times in your life in different colors? :)

as this often depends on what I'm reading or watching... maybe you also have series or books that make your life another color?
friends ... really orange and warm colors
gilmore girls ... greenish-white blue
harry potter ... purple-black-golden-soft-warm
lord of the rings ... green-silver-fresh-airy
the rolling stones ... brown-rusty-silver
the beatkes ... brown-white-soft-foggy

:)

I haven't really thought about whether certain days are more one colour or another, though usually the colours I associate with the days of the week override everything else. Take today, it's Tuesday, so it's a blue day, though co-incidentally I did lots of blue things (going to the bank, base meeting at work, Guides/Girl Scouts)

I guess I'd say it's not so much that my days are coloured as the events in them?

People definitely have colours, though the colours are always personality related rather than to do with how I feel about the person.

I don't think my syn is triggered by emotions much. Though I am still discovering new things about it!

My favourite author (Tamora Pierce)'s books are definitely purple and green with a smudge of muddy brown. Another book I read recently, called Trumpet was very yellow, but that's because I associate yellow with both the word Trumpet and the sound the instrument makes. Interestingly Harry Potter definitely has purple/gold/black overtones for me too.

I guess that might come from the common rooms being so dark and cozy and warm and from the gold everywhere in the castle and the purple cloaks and stuff like that :)

Yeah, maybe?

I don't know what the covers of the Harry Potter books are like in Germany (which is where you live, right?), but the UK editions drove me mad! They're very bright, but all the wrong colours. Order of the Phoenix wasn't too bad, but the rest didn't match my syn colours for them at all...

aww dangerous thing to say that one haha XD I'm not german, I'm austrian :P
however *g* ... the covers from the german translations (which I had as a kid,... now I get the english originals) either fit the colors or caused them... I can't tell what was first :P
the philosopher's stone... redish and brown
the chamber of secrets ... blue, white and green
the prisoner of azkaban ... light yellow and green... should have more orange
the goblet of fire... well was red and therefore didn't fit that good but the english one was purple and perfect...
the order of the phoenix was purple too and that one I didn't even see in german so no idea about those... but the english one was yellow, red and blue and totally didn't fit... it should have been dark green and blue or black
the half blood prince... should have been dark green and turquise and purple... and I don't remember the cover there :/

I guess it has a lot to do with the mood that's all over the story and also colors which are important in the book... like green writing on walls or green liquid :P

Oops! Sorry! *grin*

I don't remember all the colours for the UK books, but the OOTP was always yellow and red for me so the cover was perfect. I think becuase of the phoenix as that's a red/yellow word and there's also the phoenix/fire connexion.

My syn colours are:
Philosopher's stone: Royal Purple/Golden Yellow
Chamber of Secrets: Deep Ocean Blue/More lemony Yellow
Prizoner of Azkaban: Royal Purple/Black/Golden Yellow (perhaps why this is my favourite of the books?)
Goblet of Fire: Forest green/Warm Red
Order of the Phoenix: Warm Reds and Yellows
Half-Blood Prince: Royal Purple/Blood red (surprise surprise)/ Dark almost black blue

And the title of the new one? Deathly Hallows: Dark Green and Black.

I think a lot of my colours are related to the words in the book title as much as the story of the book.

well looking only at the words... our colors are a bit alike :)
Harry Potter makes me feel all purple and soft and velvet-like and dark and warm-colored... so it's really a feel-cozy book... that's why I read them all over every autumn... :)
lord of the rings is all green, white, silver, airy and free-feeling so it's more exciting and not cozy... great too but not a curl-up-feel-cozy-winter-tea-book... well I have books for like every feeling XD
